マグナスくんからのメール

そういえば、クリスマス前の２２日にHammerfallのマグナスくんからＥメールが来ていた。　相変わらず誤字が多いぞ。　いつもあっしのほうがメールやらクリスマスカードを送るのが早いのに、今度は彼のほうが早かった！　しかし、やり取りってもんがない。　こっちが返答して終わり。　ちょっとくらいコミュニケーションとろうぞ、おい。　近況報告くらいしてくれ。

★I've got an email from Magnus (Hammerfall) right before X'mas. I am the one who usually send him a card or email message, but this time he beat me! I was glad to hear from him, but we don't exchange emails. One of us sends an email, and the other one answers,,,that's it. Can we communicate a little more? I wanna know how you are doing there, Magnus!

X'mas Party

かなりさぼった更新。もー、最近ブログも限界かもしれん。（←ただ単に面倒なだけ）

はて、先日のクリスマスは前年度のように家族でわいわい♪でなく、バンド友達やらその友達の面々で騒いだのでありました。　毎年実は行われているらしい、The BrainDeadのHくんのお家で、飲めや、歌えや演奏したりの一日でありました。

★Unlike usual, we didn't spend our X'mas night at Dale's family. We went to Hodgy's house for a X'mas party. He seems to throw the party every year for the friends who are not from local. It was getting a big party towards midnight.

Ｈくんはヘンな柄の上着コレクションを持っている。これももうひとつのバンドのコスチュームなんだが・・・。
★Hodgy got some hideous jackets. He made some girls wore the jackets..

うちのバンドのＪが、そのバンドではドラムをやっているのだ。そのへんな柄の上着を試着してみる。どっかのデパートの広告のようだとは本人の弁。
★So did Jeff. He gave himself a compliment as, "I looked like a model in a JC Penney ad." I think JC Penney has better designed jacket.

以前も紹介したが、Ｈくんの家の一室はバンド練習用のスタジオになっている。　ここで、今回のパーティでもミュージシャンが集まりジャムセッションと相成った。
★There were a lot of musicians at the party, so what they do at Hodgy's is usually jamming.

自分のいつもの楽器やポジションでないと、うまいこといかないんだが、それがまたおもろい。
★Sometimes, if the instrument was not your own specialty, it didn't work as much as usual, but it rather sounds fun.


カバーする曲がほとんどで、おもろいのが、「君らはみんな同年代だろ！」といえるような時代の曲ばっかり。
★Those songs they played were from 80's or early 90's. I could tell, "You guys are all in the same generation!!"
　
Metallicaの"Justice for All"からとか、Iron Maidenの"Seventh son...."とか、Dio, Ratt, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osborne, Van Halen, Black Sabath, Scorpions, Dokken, QueensRyche,Laaz Rocket, しまいにゃLove/Hates（これ知ってる奴いるかああ？）
★The above bands and album titles were all what they played. Love/Hates! I wonder how many people know this band...especially if you are in 20's...

しかし、以上だけでも曲がを認識しましたあっしも同年代。　いやぁ、８０年代から９０年代初期はよかったっすね。
★Hey, I recognized most of the songs, so it meant I am in the same generation.

★Well, to be honest, Dale is the best when he plays drums....

J.G Farewellショー・Part II

続き・・Continued from the last article.

やっぱり、THE BRAINDEADはノリのいいメタルなんで、観客も沸きます。縦にも横にも観客が動きます。
THE BRAINDEAD plays fast, slower, and happy Metal. The audience moves the the up and down, and to the left and right.

いきなり修道女の格好して、ビニールの人形を抱いて登場のＪ．Ｇ。　J.G showed up with a "Nun" costume holding inflatable doll.

あの、、ハンケ○ですけど。　いっつも苦笑もんのこのパフォーマンスが見れなくなるのはなんか、さみしいような。　Half of your bXtt showing... I will miss these performances of his, which make me laugh, I think.

Ｊ．Ｇ Farewellショー

散々予告だけしていたお友達バンドTHE BRAINDEADの個性いっぱいフロントマン、Ｊ．Ｇの最後のショーで、うちのS.I.Bも前座勤めやした。　シアトルを代表するローカルバンドが集まり、またロック系音楽ステーションＫＩＳＷの宣伝も手伝って、盛り上がりましたぜぃ。
The last THE BRAINDEAD show for J.G had a lot of bands as openings, including our band, SOLACE IN BLACK, and it was very successful with a help of radio commercial by KISW.

今回のショーのちらしじゃ


この最後のショーを飾るように、Ｄが以前いて、解散した人気バンド、AGONY OF DECEIT(A.O.D)も臨時結成してプレイしやした。　いやぁ、バンドが多くて、最後のプレイが夜中も１時くらいになりやしたが、かなりモッシュもありましたな。
As if celebrating J.G 20years career, A.O.D also got together only for today, and played at last. It was very late when A.O.D got to play, but there was mosh pit, and it got very exciting show.

今回あっしは、ライブの写真より、バンド友達の写真やらを撮るのをだいぶ楽しみにしておりやした。　もっと、撮りたかったけんど、安いデジカメでは暗闇でうまく撮れず、また充電がまずかったのか電池が切れちゃいました。。（すんません。）
Sorry for the dudes who were not in the pictures that I took. I must have charged the battery wrong. The battery went dead soon after I took A.O.D show.

S.I.Bだ。この日えらく寒く（前日は雪だった）。　このライブバーもえらく寒かった！特にヒーターのない、ステージ前はあまりに寒く、人が固まらない状態・・。（厚着している人だけ） Damn, it was a cold night. Not many people couldn't stay right in front of the stage where was the coldest place in the showroom.

メタルに見えないという苦情？から、ＤのOVERKILL帽子を借りてかぶるAだが・・・。一応SUICIDAL TENDENCYのまねをしているというは本人の弁。（そっかなー） Because of a complain that Andy doesn't look like a Metal Head, he wore Dale's OVERKILL hat. He insisted that he impersonated SUICIDAL TENDENCY guy. (Mmmmm...)

相変わらず動きが激しいこの二人。The busiest people in the band.


やっぱりおもろいのが、バンドのショーの間の友達とのやりとりとかでしょうかね。　類友とはよくいったもんで、個性的なのが多いっす。
The funniest part is the break time between the shows. I see a lot of funny people. "The birds of the same feather flock together?"

プレイ中に、友達♀の一人に投げられたデカパンティ。頭にかぶってプレイしてくれりゃ、もっとおもろかったのに。　Dale is trying on the size 9 panty, which was thrown by Jenzy between the songs. It would be funny if he put it on his head and played.

ひげはやし始めたＴ。「どう思う？」と言われ。いいんじゃないでしょうか？と適当に答えたあっし。 Tim starts growing a beard. "What do you think?" he said. "It looks ok." I was honest.
